All McCarthy Homes are custom designed and built with energy efficiency in mind. We take many factors into consideration when designing your home, such as siting and orientation, layout and zoning, natural ventilation and lighting, windows and shading, northern solar access to living areas, insulation and thermal mass, water recycling options and the use of solar energy hot water systems.
A minimum 5 Star energy efficiency rating is achieved, which provides you with lower energy costs and a more comfortable home – ensuring your home will be cooler in summer and warmer in winter. You also have the comfort of knowing your home creates less greenhouse gas emissions – and a better environment.
We also provide a 2000L rainwater tank, reducing your reliance on external water sources. We can also incorporate government accredited grey-water systems to get the maximum benefit from recycling laundry, bathroom and evaporative air conditioner water for re-use in the laundry and garden.
